A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new
section, designated section twenty, relating to
authorizing the human rights commission to promulgate
a legislative rule relating to the definition of
employer under the West Virginia human rights act.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section,
designated section twenty, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND BOARDS TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-9-20. Human rights commission.
The legislative rule filed in the state register on
the thirtieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred
ninety-seven, under the authority of section eight, article
eleven, chapter five, of this code, modified by the human
rights commission to meet the objections of the legislative
rule-making review committee and refiled in the state
register on the twenty-first day of November, one thousand
nine hundred ninety-seven, relating to the human rights
commission (definition of employer under the West Virginia
human rights act, 77 CSR 9), is authorized.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the
Human Rights Commission to promulgate a legislative rule
relating to the Definition of Employer Under the West
Virginia Human Rights Act.
